This project was for an independent movie theatre in Illinois. The owner wanted a site where customers could easily find the week’s showtimes, sign up for an e-mail list about new blockbusters, and it had to be easily updated by the theatre’s staff.

This client, a teacher, was looking for a professional site to display her qualifications and projects with the children she teaches. She also wanted to be able to edit the site at her discretion. I used Wordpress to power the site, which gave her the ability to log in and post photos of new projects she has done with her children along with descriptions of what skills the children are learning.

While working for International Travel News magazine, I was given a chance to redesign the magazine’s website. After much research, I decided on starting with The Morning After, a Wordpress theme designed by Arun Kale. The magazine-style theme is ripe for customization, with its extensive documentation. I customized it to meet the needs of the magazine, adding an in-house ad serving system. I also replaced the third-party official forum the company was using with a full-featured in-house forum.
