Welcome to my portfolio.
I'm finishing up my last semester at
community college, and moving on to design bigger and better things.
Browse my digital and print work, the collection includes the websites I've created, digitally-created maps published in the daily newspaper I worked at, and my photography.
I've been in the newspaper/magazine industry since 2004, and have gained much experience doing everything from editing and prepress production to infographics and web design.
My current project has been the website of the magazine I work at,
International Travel News.
Digital design.
I've
designed a number of sites over the years...been doing it since my
freshmen year of high school, it's what I'd like to do (and already do)
for a living.
The one I'm most proud of is the one I designed for my employer,
International Travel News magazine:

Another site I did was one for a client that wanted
a professional site:
Print design
I
was layout editor of the student newspaper at College of the Redwoods
while working at The Daily Triplicate, the town's only newspaper.
During my time there, I made many maps, charts, and graphs for the
paper. Some of these are below.

Painting
I've been painting since I was a child, starting with watercolors and moving to oils. I mostly paint in acrylic these days.
About Me
I'm
currently finishing my last semester at American River College in
Sacramento, preparing to apply to a 4-year school to learn more about
web design and design in general.
I have lived in Sacramento
for nearly three years, after moving from my hometown of Crescent City
in 2006. I go to school at ARC, work at a travel magazine as their web
designer / assistant editor, and hang out with my friends
I guess I’m first and foremost a computer hardware and software
fetishist (mostly Macintosh / Symbian nowadays), but I read a lot of
philosophy, enjoy watching independent films and devouring Valleywag.
In my spare time I’m also a bit of a writer (mostly in my blog). I also
love working on my personal website. I've had one website or another
since my freshmen year of high school.
I can be found in my natural habitat writing on my MacBook or out with my N95 taking geotagged pictures.
Clean lines. De Stijl. Soft gradients. International Style.
